This slight bedtime story finds the moon shining bright as Mother Mouse tucks in her son. Then, along comes Mole to say that the farmer is coming to plow the field, and that the bed should be underground. Other animals suggest where Little Mouse should sleep, but nothing seems right for him. The pair end up back where they started as the farmer has conveniently plowed, and their home in the shelter of the big tree is safe. The adorable animals are drawn in a cartoon style and the night scenes are rendered in attractive pastel colors. Kids will like the sparkles on the moon and the sky and running their fingers over the raised velvety texture of the moon. Ages 4-8.
