It has been a while since Folks lived in the Big House, and an even longer time has passed since there has been a garden at the House. All the Hill is boiling with excitement as the animals discuss the great news - new Folks coming into the Big House! The Little Animals speculate about the change, some fearfully (there was always the possibility of Dogs and Cats; of shotguns, rifles, poisons, and explosives; of traps and snares; and worst of all, Boys!), but most are hopeful that the new Folks would be planting Folks. It has been three years since there was a good garden and times has been pretty hard. They all wonder how things are going to change. It’s only a matter of time before the animals of the Hill find out just who is moving in, and they may be a little bit surprised when they do.
