An Intensive Chinese Course incorporates current teaching methods derived from the Beijing Language University. The Sentence Patterns set consist of 4 volumes. Volume 1 introduces Chinese pronounciations, followed by dialogue and then advances onto sentence patterns through exercises. Not only are sentence patterns introduced but the student will pick up on up to 2200 vocabulary words throughout the series. There are total 66 lessons in four books. Volume 2-4 concentrates on sentence patterns. Each lesson introduces new vocabulary words, pronounciation, and sample exercises in simplified Chinese characters, Pinyin, and English.
