An Intensive Chinese Course provides comprehensive learning materials for students starting at the beginning level. The complete series includes: Sentence Patterns (4 Books), Chinese Characters and Reading (2 Books), and Listening (1 Book). The "Characters and Reading" set consist of two volumes. The origins of Chinese characters are introduced in each lesson, concentrating on radicals and stroke order through detailed explanations in both English and Chinese, along with sample character and excercise grids. Volume 1 contains Lessons 1-15. Volume 2 contains Lessons 16-32.  In simplified Chinese characters, Pinyin, and English. Price is for each volume. Corresponding workbooks are also available.
