Handbook on Characters Teaching for International Chinese Teachers is primary designed for Chinese teachers, volunteer Chinese teachers, undergraduate and postgraduate students of MTCSOL. The book is useful for specialized course teaching, teacher training and self-study. The handbook introduced basic knowledge and methods of characters teaching in the first chapter. Then the book explained nearly 2,500 characters in detail. Each character’s pronunciation, meaning, strokes, writing order, etymon, picture, and other relevant materials are shown clearly. Based on the classification of characters, the reference book offered specialized teaching instructions. In addition, 70 character activities and number of copy pages are contained.

《国际汉语教师汉字教学手册》适用于海内外的汉语教师、汉语教师志愿者，以及汉语国际教育专业的本科生和硕士研究生；适用范围为专业课教学、教师培训或者自学。本书包含汉字教学的基本知识与方法，对约2500个常用字和次常用字进行了详解，并提供了字音、字义、笔画、笔顺、字源、字谜、图片、古汉字等资源和素材，每部分给出教学提示和建议，指导教师组织汉字教学。同时，本书还包括70种汉字课堂练习与活动，以及供教师复印使用的活动与测试页。
