In the summer of 1996, NOMAD came into being when a number of talented Chinese musicians who cherished the same ideals gathered in pursuit of common goals. This company of passionate artists, led by the two distinguished musicians Ouyang Qian and Yang Xiu-Lan aim at exploring the frontiers of Chinese music. They compare themselves to a band of travelling storytellers travelling about in search of inspiration. Wonderful folk music to explore.
