The Lao Zi is respected as the legendary founder of the Taoist school of philosophy for his authoring of the Book of Tao and Teh. For years, Professor Gu has studied the various editions of the “Book of Tao and Teh” and gained a deep understanding of the book. This translation is based on his own understanding and his comparative study of the other available translations.
