Living Overseas: Cases, Strategies, and Guidance for CFL Teachers around the world is a case-based study and resource book for Chinese educators teaching and living overseas. The book includes 50 case studies and stories about the life and experiences of front-line Chinese teachers who have lived and taught in more than 30 countries around the world. Each case study includes three parts: My Story, Survival Tips, and Conclusion. As the titles of the three parts suggest, this book opens with specific personal stories, inviting its reader to experience the daily life of Chinese language teachers living overseas, explore the cultural characteristics of different countries and regions, and understand the local customs, geography, climate, clothing, food, housing, transportation and so on. It then generalizes from the stories, with the aim to provide its readers with the much-needed strategies and tips on how to “survive” in different places and cultures around the world.

这是一本国际汉语教师海外生活案例式教材。全书包括40余篇来自全球6个大洲30个国家的一线汉语教师的生活实例。每篇案例包括我的故事、生存攻略、结语等部分，线索上以一个具体的个人故事开场，然后将故事中描述的具体问题普遍化，总结出相关方面的生存或生活经验。
《生存攻略案例：汉语教师海外生活实训教程》的突出特点是关注国际汉语教师海外生活和生存经验方面的问题，以日常生活中经常发生的事件为主，针对不同国家和地区的特点，按照个人经历，真实再现跟当地风土人情、地理气候、衣食住行（包括货币、消费、礼物、节日、旅行等）息息相关的生活场景和事件，并以此为基础，总结在当地生活及生存的一些普遍性经验。
