It is traditional to write to families and friends, if they live far away, for the Chinese New Year. Just like sending Christmas cards, the Chinese write letters or cards (a phenomenon developed in recent years) to their loved ones wishing them all the best and good luck for the New Year. To enable the orphanages to understand your letters and cards, ChinaSprout offers translation services.
Send your letter in English by email , fax, or mail. We will translate it for you and send it back by your preferred means. You can also send us your letters in Chinese from orphanages, and we can provide the translation into English. You will also receive 10% off the listed price for all holiday cards if you want to include cards in your letter or get one FREE card if the cost of translation is over $50.
The translation will be completed by using MS Word either in English or Chinese. The cost is only $2.00 for MS Word document per line of translation with a minimum charge of $10. The numbers of lines are calculated based on the original English or translated English document. You may pay by credit card or check. If you pay with credit card, please send your credit card information via fax (718) 504 4309 or via mail. Please do NOT send it via EMAIL. If you pay with check, please send check to 169 54th Street #10, Brooklyn, NY 11220. Upon receiving payment, the translation will be sent to you within 2-3 business days by your preferred means. Translations of more than five pages will be sent to you in approximately 5 business days. Please allow more time for letters longer than five pages.
